Here we go, Month Three.
Yesterday I got all the shots and the new box of pills. The shots sucked as predicted. My joints and my body hurt, but it *should* feel better in a few days and I am going to treat myself to a massage this weekend.
Not much to report, the doctor was happy with the bloodwork, said the tumor markers were a bit lower, and gave me a prescription for codeine (🎉) as an option other than Imodium when I have bad intestinal cramping. Also, Imodium is hella expensive here, even the generic, so I guess I need to find an Imodium mule.
{please do not mail Imodium to me, the customs/VAT fees will be insane. but thanks for the thought. hand deliveries are welcome.}
They were also happy that even though my fingertips are peeling, it was nothing like the bad reaction I had to the other meds. Cool. And when I said that sometimes my hair hurts at the scalp, the nurse said “oh! A new side effect?” with enthusiasm. Cool. Actually, she’s really sweet and very good at blood draws and shots, so I forgive her.
That’s all, I guess. I made myself ill by eating too much last night. I know I shouldn’t eat too much in a sitting, but I made really yummy spicy noodles with peanut sauce (with zucchini and ground meat) and I wanted a little more. 🤷🏻♀️ That one’s on me.

Hi Jenn,
I think it sounds like you are doing pretty good. Keep up the good work. I hope you feel better each day, but then I know it starts all over. Any little thing that is a little better is good news. Wishing for more good news each week.

Jennifer - when I was on Faslodex and Verzenio I too had GI issues. When you wrote you ate too much delicious noodles and meat, I had a similar experience with a plate of spaghetti - my favorite meal. It tasted so great but a short time later I found myself in a whole lot of pain. My Central Nervous System lit up all my body in a very bad way - so uncomfortable. I felt I had no control over what my body was experiencing and purging. Imodium helped. In fact, my mailed prescription came with Imodium pills from the pharmaceutical company each month. I am glad to hear your tumor marker is dropping. That is a good thing to focus on - and your pups of course.
