A Port for Every Storm
Port installation ✅
I ended up having general anesthesia so an expected medium-long day turned into a really really annoying long day and night of waiting to be sprung. And when I finally got a meal it was surprisingly gross (hospital food here is generally good and homemade), and the Portuguese lady in the room with me kept saying lunch had been better but at least the soup was good. So that made me feel better for not eating most of it. And then the best part was when she complained to the nurse.
Anyway, I’m covered in a giant bandage and I feel like someone punched me really hard in the shoulder. And I can’t take a shower until I get it all changed on Saturday, which is also annoying that I have to go there on Saturday.
We have some city-folk coming from Lisbon for the weekend, so I’m looking forward to some delicious food and firing up the BBQ and quality time.
The Big Day for The Big C is Wednesday. I’m sure I’ll have some words to get out in anticipation of that. I’m definitely relieved that I got the port before Round One.
I took some pics of pretty shadows I saw on my walk this morning…

Hope you enjoy your weekend with friends and good food from Brian. Love you.
